How Do I Start Racing?

In order to start racing in the MiniTwins series you will need to do two things: 1) Join a racing club such as Bemsee or North Gloucester and 2) Get an ACU license.

In order to join Bemsee you will need to have done a race school and to get a license you will need to sit a short test. These can all be done separately or the European SuperBike School does a few days before the start of the season where they do both on the same day.

There are no requirements as far as lap times or experience is concerned. For MiniTwins you can use anything from SV650, CB500, Cagiva Raptor 650 and possibly a few Ducatis. You don't need any special insurance.

Entries for the season will be around fifteen hundred quid, approximately, and allow another grand or so for tyres. Bike preparation can be anything from some race bodywork to lots of nice suspension bits, etc.

Why not join the email discussion group (click here for details) and have a look in the archives. Most questions you have will probably have been covered and if they haven't you can always ask them and somebody will have the answer.
